Flames were spotted at the Steelpointe townhome community on Smithworks Boulevard in Phoenixville just before 1:30 p.m., the borough fire department said in a Facebook post.

Authorities said the blaze was contained to a house still under construction, but that the building had a sprinkler system installed and activated at the time of the fire.

First responders arrived to see thick smoke pouring from the three-story townhouse, according to the statement.

In tandem with the sprinklers, firefighters extinguished the flames in less than 15 minutes, the department said.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is not yet known.
